Indian team is one of the strongest contenders for the ICC World Cup 2015. Indians have always been the favorite in this contest though their performance is whimsical every time. Looking at the last three world cups, in 2003 under the captainship of Saurav Ganguly in South Africa they reached till the finals but were outclassed by Australia then. In 2007, there was a major upset when they lost against Bangladesh in West Indies and their run ended in league round itself and in 2011, for the 2nd time India won the ICC World Cup.
